The Armenian Hayrhâh [Aid] Association does not function as its name suggests. It has been understood that a lot of Armenian committee members from Egypt and from other countries flocked in Adana, Halab, and in Syria to buy weapons and to work in political organizations under the banner of this association. This Association, like others, is political, its leader and members are composed of the committee members working under the mentioned banner.

“Parigor Zagan,” in other words “Philanthropic Association” has been established in Egypt a couple of years ago. Founding aim was to develop Armenian world of thinking, to open schools, to generalize and improve agricultural methods; in short, although it aims to determine the financial and spiritual needs, in reality this is a program only on the surface. Since every national enterprise launched by the Armenians directly aims at a political goal, “Parigor Zagan” is completely different from what the name suggests today. A lot of Armenian komitadjis from Egypt and from other countries flocked in Adana, Halab, and in Syria to buy weapons and to work for this political organization. Sir, for these reasons, this association, like others, is political, its leader and members are composed of the komitadji working under the mentioned banner.
